1:19so i’m the i’m the team leader of the1:21group1:22and designer of the rocket really kind1:24of managed the whole event1:26and then i was also the launch conductor1:28um you know did all the countdown1:30the gopro cameras actually all three of1:32them did shut down on temperature1:34and the cameras were all mounted to the1:36outer skin1:38of the rocket which does get really hot1:40from the aerodynamic heating1:42uh during the the boost portion of1:44flight in fact some of those areas can1:46get upwards of1:47you know three or four hundred degrees1:50and the photographs from space or the1:53first that’s ever been captured1:55from uh amateur rocket that’s actually1:58reached space1:59and on top of that um you could actually2:01see the moon2:02in in those um off you know off from the2:05horizon which makes those photographs2:07even more spectacular2:09um that white object that goes2:11fluttering by2:13um could have been an alien for all we2:15know it’s uh2:16i have no idea what it is it might have2:18been something that was in the2:20booster when it separated and yeah we2:22saw that too it’s a curious object2:26we weren’t too far from where we had2:28actually tracked it was on the other2:30side of those mountains in that uh2:33in that on that desert floor um and we2:36were probably2:36on the helicopter we were probably still2:38maybe maybe three or four miles from2:40where it was but2:41you know unless you know where it’s at2:44or have a good idea it’s really hard to2:46see it we first got down on the ground2:49in the area where the where the rocket2:51was we couldn’t see it we could not find2:54it and2:54we actually found these drag marks we2:57followed that drag mark2:59about three quarters of a mile and then3:01and then3:02came right up to uh where the payload3:05was3:05in the course of the month that it was3:07sitting out there the winds had picked3:09up that parachute and dragged that3:10payload section3:11uh at least three quarters of a mile to3:14its final resting spot where we found it3:16i was talking to kai michaelson a couple3:18of nights ago and we were3:20just reminiscing about this flight and3:22all the things that we experienced3:23and uh both of us felt like the you know3:2610 years is just way too long to wait3:28for another one so hopefully it won’t be3:30too many more years and we’ll be out3:31there again to defeat our record
